ANTIGONES VERMÄCHTNIS
Theatre an der Parkaue, Berlin
A new play about resistance, necropolitics and sisterhood written by Athena Farrokhzad.
THE TAMING OF THE SHREW
Dramaten / The Royal Dramatic Theatre
Expect a maximalist mashup of his 1500s and her 2000s, blending twisted fairy tale with vivid fiction and dark comedy with bright tragedy when Farnaz Arbabi takes on William Shakespeare's notoriously misogynistic comedy and re-writes it for the main stage of the Royal Dramatic Theatre.
Schools for taming strong women aren’t too far off these days, in the age of tradwives and soft girls, Love is Blind marathons and a secret lust for just the right (or wrong?) amount of Fifty Shades of Grey spanking.
All in freshly written blank verse! With clowns! Dancing! Music! Oh, and there will also be true love and smoldering passion!
Premiere 5 Sept 2025.
TBA
Unga Klara, Stockholm
A new play by Amar Jašarević.
